International Day Celebration
International Day celebrates the wide cultural diversity of Eadad International Academy and our student’s role as global citizens. The day broadens student’s horizons and affords opportunities for them to learn more about their contemporaries’ cultures, food and languages, while forming a greater understanding of their own place in the wider community. Students and staff are encouraged to come to school in traditional dress. The day includes a special exhibition at which staff and students host stalls with displays, food and music. Students are also afforded the opportunity to participate in a wide array of activities and International Day-themed performances. On the 20thof February, the school celebrated International Day with its students, their parents and all the staff members.
The staff, with the help of our students’ parents set up the different booths of their respective countries.
The celebration started with the parade of each class while wearing their traditional clothes.
Students had the chance to honor their homelands by giving a brief information and singing the National Anthem of their respective countries.
The students also prepared a few performances to entertain everyone.
The second part of the event is the cultural festival, where everyone enjoyed visiting different countries’ booths.
Initiated by the Student Council, the students helped the staff and parents in cleaning up after the event.
